NCAA Week 11 Games Summary

We won’t be able to present the  Award of the Heisman right now, and the Louisiana State won’t necessarily win the playoff finals. But on Saturday, the quarterback and his team took a significant step forward to both achievements.

NCAA | College football

Burrow counted 457 yards and three touchdowns, and LSU broke their series of eight defeats from Alabama, winning with a score of 46-41.

In another important game this week, Minnesota strengthened its position by scoring a landslide victory over the Penn State with a score of 31-26. Baylor remained undefeated, but it took them three overtime and a certain amount of luck to defeat TCU.

Summing up the next week of student football.

 Success Week

Wins MAC Conference Teams

Toledo, West Michigan, and Miami (Ohio) have made significant progress this week. Each game has become iconic in its own way.

The first to win the match were the Toledo footballers who beat Kent State 35-33 and won their sixth victory in the championship. Rockets will play in bowls for the tenth season in a row.

Western Michigan spent a tough final quarter in a game with Ball State, scored two touchdowns in the last six minutes and snatched a 35-31 win. The team continues to lead the MAC West Division.

Miami defeated the neighbors in the division from Ohio with a score of 24-21 and strengthened their leadership in the East Division. Success in the next two matches with Bowling Green and Akron practically guarantees them participation in the final of the conference.

Minnesota !!!

Minnesota vs Penn state | NCAA

Exactly so, with three exclamation points. The road to the result of 8-0 was not the most difficult for the team. This week, Minnesota deservedly defeated the Penn State 31-26 and can now consider itself a full-fledged contender for more.

Quarterback of the team Tanner Morgan did not leave a stone unturned by the Nittany Lions strong defense, having realized 18 attempts to pass from 20 to 339 yards with three touchdowns. The receivers Rashod Bateman (203 yards) and Tyler Johnson (104 yards) helped him in this.

On account of Minnesota and three interceptions. The first two allowed for productive drives, and the third put the winning point in the match.

It's time for PJ Fleck guys to rake in the top 10!

Florida State Recovering Bowl Hope

After losing to Miami last week, program management fired Willie Taggart. Marvin Wilson's star d-tackle underwent surgery on his arm and dropped out before the end of the season. A very unfortunate segment for the Seminole.

However, this Saturday, under the direction of Odell Huggins, the Florida State beat Boston College away with a score of 38-31. Quarterback James Blackman scored 346 yards with two touchdowns, and his backup Jordan Travis scored 94 yards with a takeaway, also issuing two touchdowns.

Now the result of team 5-5 and if successful in the next match against the Alabama State, they guarantee themselves participation in the bowl. Of course, this will not solve all the problems, but the additional game will certainly not become superfluous for the construction of a new team.

Baylor, who survived in three overtime

The team was one step away from a catastrophic drop in the ranking, but kicker John Myers, who scored all the points of his team in regular time, helped out. His field goal from 51 yards allowed Bears to even the score and transfer the match to overtime. The final result is 29-23 and Baylor continues to fight.

The team goes 9-0, but in a week they will have a game with Oklahoma, on which the outcome of the tournament in the Big-12 conference will depend.

Jarren Williams and the best day of his career

Miami lacks long gears for most of this season. The November team began with just 11 passes for 30+ yards. In the past two weeks, the situation has begun to change.

In a game with Florida State, the team made four such transfers. Last Saturday, Jarren Williams designed three more, at the same time setting a program record, making six touchdowns.

It is no accident that these performances coincided with a significant improvement in the game of the Miami line of attack. It is also important that all its players will remain in the team next year. In the 2020 season, Hurricanes may be optimistic.

Illinois returning to the bowls

Illinois vs mishigan week 11 ncaa

The team started the season with a result of 3-4. The future of Lovie Smith as head coach looked hopeless. But how quickly the situation in college football is changing!

On Saturday, Illinois gave a fantastic comeback: losing 3-28 and 10-31, in the fourth quarter the team scored 27 points, filling out a winning touchdown five seconds before the end.

For the first time in the last five years, the team will play in the bowl, despite the initially lost season.

Teams from the top 10 that won important victories

Few expected that Clemson, Georgia and Oklahoma would run into problems during the season. However, the past few weeks have reminded everyone of the unpredictability of college football. Clemson barely escaped defeat from North Carolina, Georgia and Oklahoma lost one match.

There were no questions to the teams this week.

Clemson confidently outplayed North Carolina State. Trevor Lawrence scored 335 yards with four touchdowns. Georgia beat Missouri 27-0, allowing opponents to score just 198 yards.

Oklahoma kept its fans in suspense for 60 minutes, but ended up defeating Iowa State 42-41. Jalen Hurts chalked up 341 yards and five touchdowns.

All three programs continue to fight for a place in the playoffs.

Failures of the week

Central Florida Hopes for New Year's Bowls

Champions, we will remember you. Over the past two seasons, Central Florida has played in Peach Bowl and Fiesta Bowl, gaining a foothold in the status of the leading team of Group 5. After losing to Tulsa with a score of 31-34 and a total result of 7-3, you can’t count on the continuation of the series.

In the second half of the game, the team spent six drives, but only managed to score one field goal. Two losses were committed by the attack, another added special teams to return the initial strike. Tulsa converted these errors into ten points that became decisive.

Recruiting Maryland for the 2020 season

To the big break, Maryland was losing the Ohio State with a score of 0-42. Fate felt that this was not enough and added new difficulties.

Three-Star Recruit, Linear Attack Jordan White has announced a change in his decision to pursue a career in Maryland. He initially confirmed receipt in March of this year, but Saturday was apparently the last straw. It's hard to blame the player for this, given how Maryland turned a bright start 2-0 to 3-7.

White has already received offers from the LSU, Wisconsin, and Virginia programs. It is possible that others will follow. Maryland continues to fall.

Alabama and dreams of a championship

Alabama vs LSU week 11 ncaa | college football

Tua Tagovailoa returned to the squad after a leg injury, but in the first half of the game with LSU made two terrible mistakes. Both of them were converted to touchdowns, the second of which made the backlog equal to 20 points. After that, the chances of a comeback became illusive. However, Crimson Tyde in the second part of the game managed to impose a fight and eventually lost a little, 41-46.

In the 2017 season, Alabama finished the championship with a score of 11–1 and did not make it to the final of the conference, but was included in the playoffs. Now the committee can also consider the team as stronger than the winners of Big-12 or Pac-12. But it is possible that for the first time in the history of the playoffs this season will be held without Nick Seyban’s team.

Wake Forest, and dreams about the overthrow of Clemson

Now hardly anyone can stop Clemson from reaching the final of the ACC conference. Wake Forest had a good season, but last weekend it was all over.

In the game with Virginia Tech, lost 17–36, the team’s attack was able to score just 301 yards. Wake Forest lost the second half of the match with a score of 7-30. Two interceptions marked Jamie Newman and it cost his team ten points.

Now nothing depends on the outcome of the match with Clemson. Of course, to beat an opponent and the top 5 is always good, but the conference finale is already unattainable.

of South Carolina and their plans for the Bowl

A defeat from Tennessee two weeks ago threatened the team season, and failure to play with the Appalachian State actually buried him.

Efforts in the end of the match were not enough and Gamecox lost 15-20. The defense left the team a chance of success, but two flags for the holding in the last seconds made it impossible.

Now South Carolina is 4-6, but ahead of the game with Texas A&M and Clemson. For guaranteed getting into the bowls you need two victories. It is unlikely that anyone will bet on such an outcome.
