On March 24, 1976, Peyton Williams Manning was born in New Orleans. The son of a professional football player, he already in high school became a real star. To see in his team Peyton wanted six dozen NCAA programs, many thought it would be the alma mater of Archie Manning Ole Miss, but to their surprise he chose Tennessee.
Manning began his college career as the team's third quarterback behind backs Jerry Colquitt and Todd Helton. Injuries to his partners gave him a chance and he took full advantage of it. In four years at Tennessee, Peyton played 45 games as the starting quarterback and won 39 of them. He holds the program record for passing yards (11201). The only Heisman Trophy Manning did not win was the 1997 Heisman Trophy, finishing second behind cornerback Charles Woodson.
In 1998, Manning was selected at No. 1 overall in the draft by the Indianapolis Colts. He became the team's starting quarterback in his first season and remained so for thirteen years. Including the playoffs, he played in 227 consecutive games, a streak that was broken in 2011 due to a neck injury that required surgery. During his time with the Colts, Peyton was named the league's Most Valuable Player four times and won Super Bowl XLI with the team.

In 2012, Manning signed with Denver. In four seasons with the Broncos, he won another championship ring and added another season MVP award to his collection. Peyton announced the end of his playing career on March 7, 2016. He left the league holding the records for total MVP awards, Pro Bowl invitations, passing yards and touchdowns in a season. Manning is the only quarterback in NFL history to play in the Super Bowl four times under four different coaches.

Now Peyton is in demand in advertising, engaged in charity work, there are rumors of his desire to become a co-owner of one of the NFL teams.
